Crash & the circle of death (wont open…)

Its in perpetual crash mode. Since the most recent "upgrade," I cant even get in. The circle of death is all I see.
The upgrade sounded wonderful, until I made the upgrade. Now I cant even use the app at all. Cant even email the app developers to let them know of the problem…
